It seems that
nowadays anything can be transformed into art, including cakes!
Modern bakers definitely know a thing or two about decorating and
creating complicated designs. In fact, some of the cakes they create
are so elaborate that they don’t look like cakes at all! Others are
so stunningly beautiful that it’s hard to imagine someone would cut
and eat such a masterpiece. From abstract designs to geometrical
cakes, here are 7 bakers whose cakes belong in an art exhibition.
What
happens when an architect decides to try baking cakes? This is what!
Dinara Kasko, a baker based in Ukraine, has a background in
architecture and a passion for mathematics. Most people are used to
cakes being all creamy and fluffy, but this is not how Dinara Kasko
likes to create her art pieces. She uses a structural approach she
picked up while studying architecture to turn her cakes into
geometric figures, graphs, diagram-like forms, and cakes that look
like real avant-garde works of art. This is probably what cakes would
look like in the future!
Cedric
Grolet is a talented French pastry chef who finds inspiration all
around him. He’s mostly known for his gentle flowery designs
inspired by nature, but he has been creating something entirely new
lately – the Cubic cakes! Using Rubik’s cube as an inspiration is
absolutely brilliant and may seem crazy to some people, yet looking
at Cedric Grolet’s cakes we can only say ‘wow’. They are fresh,
eye-catching, and seem to be the tastiest desserts in the world.

run by a family – the Yavorskaya sisters are doing most of the
creative work that ranges from artistic structures that resemble
abstract art to sculpted architectural cake designs. All the cakes
are different and absolutely mind-blowing!
