While the Rafale fighter jets have landed safely in Ambala, the Congress has once again pulled in politics. After appreciating the Indian Air Force for acquiring Rafale fighter jets, Congress claims that ‘the Indian National Congress government’s labour in identifying & purchasing Rafale in 2012 has finally borne fruit’. Congress Rafale purchase would’ve ensured India 126 jets instead of BJP’s 36.’

They further went on to say that Congress would bring 129 Rafale jets by 2016 and the cost of each jet would be around ₹ 520 Crores.

‘The magic figure of 126 aircraft remains the requirement of the Indian Air Force for its future growth & success’ says Air Marshal (Retd) Raghunath Nambiar.
