Sky news host Paul Murray says a perfect example of borders being used for politics comes from the Northern Territory which has announced it will open its border to New South Wales, just two weeks after the territory election.

Mr Murray said in the lead up to the election, the sales pitch of the Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner was “vote for me, save lives”.

“Before the election, keep them out,” Mr Murray said.

“Two weeks after, where there had been no change actually in the number of cases, now people can come in, and they can come in from Sydney.”
