The Seattle Seahawks are officially in offseason mode with their loss this weekend in the 2021 NFC Wild Card game and NFL Offseason Rumors are heating up! Heading to the offseason one of the bigger needs for the Seahawks is to re-sign veteran LB KJ Wright. Wright is currently the longest-tenured Seattle Seahawk but his contract is up and he will be a Free Agent in the 2021 NFL Offseason. Wright made it clear that he wants to be back in Seattle for his 11th year in the NFL but unfortunately it’s not just up to him, “You know, that’s up to you know Pete and John.” Wright had one of his better seasons in 2020 finishing with 11 tackles for loss, his most since 2016.
Pete Carroll was asked if he expects OC Brian Schottenheimer to return for the 2021 NFL season in which he replied, “Yes. We scored more points than any team in the history of the franchise.” The Seahawk offense really took a step back in the second half of the season and Pete Carroll said the primary focus going into 2021 will be to run the football more often and more effectively.

Seahawks Safety Jamal Adams played Saturday’s NFL Wildcard Playoff game with a torn labrum in his left shoulder that will require off-season surgery but that’s not it. Adams also will have surgery to his fingers on his left hand and may need surgery on his right shoulder as well.
