More women voted for Biden over Trump in the 2020 election. About 9 out of 10 Black women and at least 2 out of 3 Latina women supported the Biden-Harris ticket, while 55% of white women supported the Trump-Pence ticket. What are Democrats and Republicans doing to increase the number and enthusiasm of women in their parties? How do their strategies and messages differ? How does race, education, religion, and income factor into those messages? How can the parties better advocate for issues that are especially important to women? USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future (CPF) Spring 2021 Fellow Shaniqua McClendon was joined by North Carolina Representative Rachel Hunt and Former Congresswoman Barbara Comstock to discuss the importance of electing more women to national, state, and local offices, and how political parties are addressing issues important to women voters on Thursday, March 4.

Featuring:
– Barbara Comstock: Former U.S. Representative (R-VA) and Spring 2021 CPF Fellow
– Rachel Hunt: North Carolina Representative (D-Mecklenburg)
– Shaniqua McClendon (Moderator): Political Director, Crooked Media and Spring 2021 CPF Fellow
