In the framework of our “KAS Open Day 2021” on June 10, Mr Armin Laschet and Prof. Dr. Armin Nassehi discuss about politics and trust and in this context more specifically on the future of democracy and free society. Join our livestream on YouTube!

As already stated, the discussion is part of our “Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation Open Day” 2021, which takes place on June 10, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (CEST). There will be digital panel sessions during which we will present our work focusing on core topics such as participation and representation, security, and innovation, and we want to engage in conversation with you.

The talk between Armin Laschet and Armin Nassehi will be hosted by Mariam Lau, journalist and publicist. Dr. Norbert Lammert, Chairman of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and Former President of the Bundestag, opens this program slot with a few introductory remarks.

Armin Nassehi is professor for sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and Fellow of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation.
Armin Laschet is serving as Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, elected as Leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the CDU/CSU candidate for Chancellor of Germany,
