Presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is still in the race after the Commission on Elections 2nd Division struck down a petition to block his bid over a tax offense conviction, which supposedly bars him from holding public office for life.

But, the fight is still far from over especially for the anti-Marcos petitioners because there is still room for appeal.

There are also other pending cases against the former senator before the poll body.

Other presidential aspirants were unfazed, with Vice President Leni Robredo saying she’d rather defeat Marcos in the polls.

Filipinos, meanwhile, are on edge. The closer we get to the May elections, the higher the tension among voters who either want Marcos in or out of Malacañang.
