Pakistan’s Foreign Policy – Past, Present, Future – The Wide Side

In this video, we talked about Pakistan foreign policy in military and civil eras. We discussed Liaquat Ali Khan approach, Ayub Khan era and his closeness with US, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his regime change, Pakistan nuclear program, Gen Zia era where we fought Afghan war against Soviets with the Americans, Nawaz Sharif, Zardari and Benazir era and then Pervaiz Musharraf era where we once again partnered with US and NATO in Afghanistan.
We discussed Pak relations with US, Pak China relations, Pak Russia relations, Pak Afghan relations, CPEC, Pakistan National Security Policy and our Afghan policy during the martial laws and civilian govts and how Pak army played a role in formulating Pak foreign policy.
We also discussed Imran Khan and the regime change operations and the consequences of short sighted decisions, and importance of independent foreign policy and sovereignty.
