West London College Students Talk About Their Trip to the Sports Science Lab at London Met

Five West London College Sports Science Level 3 students Eshan, Jamal, Jonathan, Ethan and Olivia recently visited London Met’s Sports Science Lab to test out advanced measures for assessing body fat and fitness.

From isometric pulls to skin calliper and VO2 testing, our students were delighted to find they had high levels of fitness and were able to put into practice what they had been learning about on their course.

Their teacher Mel Fleming, Lead for Sports Science Level 3 explained that trips like the one to London Met are invaluable for students. It shows them advanced testing techniques, and the huge range of careers you can go into with a sports science qualification from the NHS and mental health roles to working in the sports industry.
