Let‘s Talk Politics: The Future of NATO

For decades, NATO has been one of the central cornerstones of Western security policy. Its importance for Europe becomes particularly evident against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. But in the U.S., opinions on the alliance diverge widely. Under Trump’s presidency, there have even been discussions about withdrawing from NATO.

In this special for schools, we will first give a brief overview of the history and present of the transatlantic alliance. Afterwards, students will have the opportunity to discuss the Future of NATO with Former Members of the U.S. Congress (one Democrat and one Republican) and ask questions.
