How to consciously deal with rumors

We feel agitated and bewildered when other people spread rumors about us because we want to control other people’s opinions. We are trained to perceive this as something important… And it can matter to us so much that we become people-pleasers. In the process of pleasing everyone, doing things for others… We forget the most important thing here: doing things for ourselves.

If this is something you live, it’s time to let go of the attention and importance you give to what others think. People have the right to think whatever they want to think… And this doesn’t mean that it is true.

But the energy we put into controlling this issue takes away the drive we should be putting into those things that move us forward in life. Whoever is prey to others doesn’t recognize something fundamental… The negative opinion that these types of toxic people have about us is the same negative opinion they have about everything else. This is not personal, folks.

They are full of negative thoughts. Suffering and anger are the order of the day… And that has never been about us. It has always been about themselves.
