Basketball is a group ball sport consisting of two teams of five people each. The two teams compete with each other to score points by putting the ball into the opponent’s basket as much as possible.
The sport is very popular in the United States and residents in other parts of the world, such as Southern Europe, Lithuania, to Indonesia. Many basketball competitions are held every year, such as the British Basketball League (BBL) in England, the National Basketball Association (NBA) in America, to the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).
Basketball can be played on an open court (outdoor) or a closed room (indoor). The international standard for the game of basketball is four innings, each half being 10 minutes (4×10 minutes), with a 10-minute break. However, specifically for the NBA, it’s different. The competition uses a format of 12 minutes per half (4×12 minutes).
