India’s government banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) for a period of five years. The government said that PFI had links to terror funding and wanted to establish an Islamic State in India by 2047. Eminent Muslim personalities and scholars condemn this action and ask the government to show proofs of the claims against PFI.

Meanwhile, entire area of Jamia Nagar of which Shaheen Bag is a part of was slapped with section 144 of CrPC for a period of almost two months. (From 19 September to 27 November) Meaning that the entire area, including the Jamia MIllia Islamia University would be under curfew and that assembly of people would not be allowed.

In this video, we shall speak with some prominent Muslims of Jamia Nagar and understand their feelings about the ban on PFI and the subsequent imposition of section 144.
