Former NBA championship player Andrew Bogut has slammed the “ridiculous” idea of a transgender person competing in women’s basketball, saying a grown man for 30 years would have a “significant advantage” over a female athlete.

“I could go on the program for testosterone blockers, or hormone blockers whatever you want to call them, and get within the threshold I believe within six to nine months,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“This body you see right here could go and play women’s basketball, with the bone density I have, with the muscle structure, I could just go and play in a female league per the rules they are hiding around that testosterone level.”
