Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that the difference between the old guard and the new guard is a myth and Congress has always given opportunity to younger people to grow.
When asked the old guard is not ceding any ground to the new, Digvijaya Singh said,” The difference between the old guard and new guard I think it’s is a myth. The Congress has always given opportunity to the younger people to grow. In fact, in my own case, at the young age of 37, I was made the Pradesh Congress committee president. And I accommodated big leaders like Arjun Singh Ji, Shyama Charan ji, Vidya Charan ji, Kamal Nath ji, Madhavrao Jivajirao Scindia, Motilal Vora ji, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma ji and there was no problem at all. The younger leaders should also have spirit of accommodation. The spirit of patience in politics. If you don’t have patience in politics then it doesn’t work.”
