The shambles being observed in Victoria and the stresses and strains of the pandemic are currently testing tempers in politics across the country says Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr Kenny referred to criticism delivered by Treasurer Josh Frydenberg against the Victorian government’s handling of hotel quarantine in the state.

“As a Victorian, I feel so devastated about what has transpired in my state. It should never have got to this,” Mr Frydenberg said on Friday.

“Now he’s not attacking Daniel Andrews there, he’s just showing frustration and his passion … fair enough, good on him,” Mr Kenny said.

Mr Kenny also said recent remarks made by the New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard in state parliament, levelled against NSW Opposition Leader Jodi McKay were “inexcusable”.

He said Mr Hazzard’s behavior was “just not good enough” after the Health Minister verbally attacked Ms McKay during Question Time on Thursday over the issue of mask wearing.
