Actor Rajinikanth on Monday announced that he had no plans of entering politics in future and that he had dissolved his outfit, Rajini Makkal Mandram.

The organisation will continue to be his fans association. The decision came moments after the superstar said that he would hold consultations with the office bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram to decide on the future political journey.

In a statement, Rajinikanth said, “I had thought of getting involved in politics and starting a political party. But the timing was such that it was not possible. I have no intention of getting involved in politics in the future. I am informing you that Rajini Makkal Mandram will function as a fan forum for people’s benefit.
