Dr. Erica Marshall is entering her second year as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Florida Southern College. She received her PhD in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University in Spring of 2020. Her primary research interests include understanding the vascular effects of resistance exercise modalities, specifically changes in large artery stiffness and heart rate variability.
Her knowledge of exercise spans academia. She is truly passionate about exercise and genuinely interested in motivating others to prioritize their health and adopt a physically active lifestyle. She has worked as a personal trainer, strength coach, and group exercise instructor. Erica is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP), and American Red Cross (ARC) First Aid, CPR & AED Instructor.
She is speaking about heart rate variability in the setting of sports rehabilitation.
