Transport Minister Andrew Constance is poised to resign from NSW parliament and embark on a preselection push for the federal seat of Gilmore ahead of next year’s election.

“Andrew has been a stalwart. He has worked very hard as a state minister. He has sacrificed a lot of himself for the community that he represents. No one could forget Andrew’s sadness and his passion when there have been terrible events in his community. Not just the pandemic but bushfires. He might have been fighting fires on his own front doorstep, but he was also fighting the fires and supporting the community of his broader community. Andrew, whatever he does, will always be a very major contributor to his community.
