~Synopsis~
Lady Shiva and Cassandra Savage reveal they both doubted Onyx could be a true Shadow, and so staged letting her hear their mole plan and let her escape to create confusion amongst the heroes. The Shadows never truly cared about setting a mole on the Team, only wanting the League’s data and Shiva’s daughter back. As they attempt to fight their way out, Shade helps them escape to repay an old debt to Cheshire, and leaves the Shadows himself. Shiva follows, and Orphan manages to get the upper hand in the resultant duel, and almost kills her mother for threatening Barbara’s life, but decides not to do it. Jade almost agrees to go back to her family but panics upon realizing that three-year-old Lian still admires her mother, as Jade feels she is too much like her father, Sportsmaster, to be with them. Artemis, Orphan and Onyx follow Jade to Infinity Island. Sensei and Ra’s al Ghul confirm they used to manipulate people into becoming assassins, but offer Jade a chance at rehabilitation, which Onyx also accepts. Artemis reaches an agreement with Ra’s to freely check in on both of them from time to time. Meanwhile, at the Kent farm, Clark and the family are still coming to terms with Conner’s death and explains the concept of life and death to his son, Jonny. Clark shares his grief over losing Conner with Lois, blaming himself for his death and expresses regret over his past mistakes. In a mid-credits scene, Artemis quotes I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings[citation needed] over photos of herself and Wally, and herself and Jade as kids.
