Johnny Depp set out on a complicated legal path when he sued Amber Heard for defamation, knowing that the industry wasn’t exactly on his side. The op-ed that Heard wrote in 2018 for The Washington Post wrecked Johnny’s career, as Amber described herself as “a public figure representing DV.” Since then, Depp and his legal team have done everything in their power to try and prove Johnny’s innocence. Since the case began, both Depp and Amber have taken the witness stand in the case, and Heard’s testimony is expected to pick up again when the trial resumes on the 16th of May.
